Our Toddler 2 Program is designed for children ages 2 to 3 years, an exciting stage when children are becoming more independent, curious, social, and eager to communicate. At Language Arts Academy, we provide a warm, nurturing environment where toddlers can explore, make choices, practice new skills, and build confidence while learning through play, movement, hands-on experiences, and Spanish immersion.

What Children Experience

Our Toddler 2 classroom encourages development through:

Spanish Immersion – Children hear and use Spanish naturally throughout their daily routines, songs, stories, conversations, and activities.

Language & Communication – Vocabulary building, songs, stories, conversations, listening skills, and opportunities to express needs and ideas.

Early Learning Skills – Introduction to colors, shapes, numbers, counting, matching, sorting, patterns, and early literacy concepts.

Social-Emotional Development – Learning to share, take turns, follow classroom routines, identify emotions, develop friendships, and use appropriate ways to communicate.

Independence & Self-Help Skills – Encouraging children to participate in dressing, handwashing, cleaning up, eating independently, and caring for their belongings.

Fine Motor Development – Puzzles, manipulatives, blocks, art materials, sensory activities, and other hands-on experiences that strengthen coordination.

Gross Motor Development – Music and movement, dancing, outdoor play, climbing, balancing, and active games.

Creativity & Exploration – Art, dramatic play, sensory experiences, music, science exploration, and open-ended activities that encourage curiosity and imagination.

Preparing for Preschool

During this important year, we begin helping children develop the routines and foundational skills they will need for preschool. Our teachers provide guidance while respecting each child's individual developmental pace.
